1. What will I pay to download an item of content from 35050?
Users will pay R5.00 (incl. VAT) per download unless otherwise stated. Where it differs, prices will be clearly displayed.

2. When will I receive the content I ordered?
Normally the content should be delivered directly to your handset within a few minutes, however if the networks are particularly busy it may take up to 24 hours.

3. What is a Monophonic & Polyphonic ringtone?
A monophonic ringtone is the good old ringtone we all know. It consists of basic beeping sounds strung together one after another. A polyphonic ringtone provides a much richer sound. The normal monophonic ringtone uses between one and two channels to playback musical notes whereas a polyphonic can use up to 32 channels.
Polyphonic ringtones are only available for certain cell phone models. Additionally, WAP will have to be activated on the cell phone. Refer to Why and how do I need to connect to WAP

4. What is a realtone?
A realtone is the original version of the song, but we have clipped the best bits for you to use as a ringtone. You need to connect to WAP to download your realtones.

5. What is a covertone?
A covertone is a high-quality soundalike of the original song, with the best bits clipped for you to use as a ringtone. They cost less than realtones, but sound just as good! You also need to connect to WAP to download covertones.

6. What are Full Music Downloads or Full Track Downloads?
Full track downloads are the full versions of your favourite songs that you can play via your cellphone. Put on those headphones & enjoy! Just remember – you need a 3G handset to download Full Tracks, and this is only available on MTN and Vodacom networks.

7. How do I get 35050 services outside of South Africa?
Unfortunately, 35050 services are not available outside the borders of South Africa.

8. I want to order content, but keep getting a message saying my 'request is not recognised.'
When ordering any content from 35050 you need to follow the instructions carefully to ensure you receive what you wanted. Make sure you use the correct keyword or code when you make your sms request. All errors are billed.

9. I have not received the content I ordered, just a web address and I don't have a computer.
Polyphonic & Truetone ringtones, Java Games and Wallpapers need to be downloaded using WAP and this is done with the handset, a PC is not required. For this reason only WAP enabled phones are compatible.

10. I cannot connect to the WAP site – What should I do?
Firstly make sure your phone can connect to other WAP sites. Your phone must be WAP enabled first and this can be done by contacting your network provider.

11. Why and how do I need to connect to WAP?
The sizes of pictures or ringtones or games, such as polyphonics or java games are too large to deliver through SMS. The product has to be downloaded via WAP.
Phones have to be compatible for WAP and for the particular product you want to download.
If your cell phone is WAP compatible, phone your network customer care (Vodacom 082-111 or MTN 083-173 or Cell C 084 140) to activate data on your account. The network call centres are trained to guide you through the process. After your call, it may take a couple of hours to process. After you have requested a product, you will be sent an SMS with a URL (like an internet address) or bookmark. To download your request, you will have to go to the URL using WAP on your cellphone.

12. What is WAP, CSD and GPRS?
Wireless Application Protocal (WAP) is a protocol that allows you to browse the Internet-like sites on phones and other small devices. This is made possible via a mini-browser built into the phone. In order to connect to the internet and browse these Internet-like sites you must establish a connection as you would from a computer at home. This is possible through two types of connection CSD (Circuit switch data) or GPRS (General packet radio service). Your phone must be set up for the one you choose. CSD is like using a computer modem to connect to the internet. When using CSD, you are charged per minute of connection to WAP. You need to dial up using certain settings on your phone. With GPRS, you are always connected to WAP and you will only pay for the "packets" of information sent to your cell phone. No dialup is needed with GPRS. This is usually a cheaper option. Phone your network customer care for more information on WAP or help with WAP (call Vodacom 082-111 or MTN 083-123 or Cell C 084 140).

13. What is 3G?
3G increases your capacity to download richer content (Like use Mobile TV or Full Music Downloads). It basically increases your cellphone’s bandwidth, and you will need 3G to download full music downloads from 35050. This is available to MTN and Vodacom customers.

14. I keep getting error messages when connecting to WAP:
(a) Sim card activated for WAP
Please contact your service provider to confirm that your sim card has been activated for data
(b) Pin code expiry message
Go to your WAP browser on your phone and select the "Go To Url" facility on your browser. A blank entry space will be provided. Please enter the following address: www.http://www.dzone.co.za When you get to the site, you will be prompted to enter your cell phone number and directed as to how you can download your request. Any content that you have requested but not downloaded will be displayed on this site.
(c) WAP connection timed out
This could be due to several things. The best suggestion would be to re-try after several minutes or to call the 35050 Customer Support line on 082 232 7400 (normal cell phone rates)
(d) Error displays: page cannot be displayed or cannot connect to server
Please check you are using your cell network's service settings and not any other. Some other WAP settings will not work for 35050 downloads. If you still encounter problems, please contact the 35050 Customer Support line on 082 232 7400 (normal cell phone rates)

15. Why does my cell phone say my pin is no longer active?
You are allocated a unique pin code to download your ringtone or other product. If the message indicates your pin is no longer active, the 24 hour period has lapsed or you have already downloaded your content. If you were unable to download please go to www.dzone.co.za directly and download from the portal. Any content that has not been downloaded will be active on Dzone. When you go the address above, you will be prompted to enter your cell phone number and directed as to how you can download your request.

16. My phone keeps saying data bears unavailable, what does this mean?
Your sim card probably has not been activated for data; please call your network service provider to have the sim enabled. You will be unable to download the service, such as polyphonics until this has been done.
